Agenda Item #2

Item Title
Guaranteed Maximum Price for Elementary School "W"

Issue/Rationale

A special School Board meeting was necessary as time is of essence.  Sufficient time remains to complete this project but everyday is extremely important.

The School Board awarded the construction contract as Construction Manager At-Risk to Skanska USA Building Inc. on May 17, 2006.  In accordance with the contract documents, Skanska USA Building Inc. is required to develop the guaranteed maximum price (GMP) for staff review.  After thorough review and scrutiny, staff is prepared to present the GMP to the School Board.  Staff review has included conformation of every bid component and verified that all costs are reasonable and current with today’s market.

Having completed this review and verification, the GMP is recommended for approval.

At the time of this agenda item entry, the full GMP document was not available to post as an attachment.  The GMP document will be hand delivered on Thursday, March 22, 2007 and posted on the agenda back-up on March 26, 2007.
